Privacy policy

This policy describes what Adventure Sports Log collects and why. It is written for the current product and should be reviewed before taking live payments.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, optional name and profile picture from your sign-in provider, optional public username.
• Log data: sports tracks, sessions, milestones and the fields you enter.
• Payment data: none today. If we later offer a paid plan, a Stripe customer identifier and plan. Card details never touch our servers.

Why we collect it

To run your account, store your log, and show a public profile if you opt in. If we later offer a paid plan, we would also process that subscription. We do not sell personal data.

Processors

Depending on configuration: Google (sign in), optional GitHub (sign in), MongoDB Atlas (storage), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe if you subscribe in the future.

Public profiles

If you enable a public profile, anyone with the link can see your display name, username, optional bio, sports, session counts, activity graph, session summaries and milestone titles. Session notes and countries are never published. Session summaries include dropzones, route names, dive sites and similar sport fields. Until you upload your own photos, the page uses sample images from the site founder (canyon hero and sport covers). Photos you upload are shown to anyone who can open your public page.
